Aric Schreiner graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1978 with a BS in Business Administration, major in accounting. He started preparing income taxes that year and has continued gaining experience in the complex field of taxation for 30 years.

Aric’s experience in public accounting includes stints in small firms in St. Louis and Fulton, Missouri and Springfield, Illinois. Aric’s experience broadened into the human resources field in which he spent seven years as the Payroll Department Coordinator of an international organization with more than 500 employees and two years as a human resources consultant. He also spent seven years on the Board of Directors of a small credit union.

In June of 2005, Aric met Gregg Gillaspy the day after his partner, Catherine Abbott, resigned from the firm. In August 2005, Aric joined the firm of Gillaspy CPA Group, LLC, and combined his book of business with Gregg’s. In July 2006, Gregg sold Aric his ownership interest and moved to Colorado to pursue other interests.

On December 31, 2006, Aric formed a new company and began operating as Columbia CPA Group, LLC. In August 2007, the company moved to its present location at 8th and Cherry in the District (downtown Columbia).
